In the past few months I hear this venue has secretly hosted members of The Chili Peppers, Maroon 5, Jackson Browne, Ben Harper, J. Maraz, Brett Dennen, Tom Froid, The White Buffalo and countless other microphone crushers including yours truly.
Saturday Night, April 24th say my name at the door of The Stronghold. (Its a speakeasy) and here’s what you’ll get.
One low down, funky, fresh, rocking, moving, body shaking, mind melting moment of music history (at least for me). Saturday night on Abbot Kinney, is a good as it gets here in LA, and The Stronghold is LA’s most musician friendly, most secretive, and by far my favorite small music venue. There’s just a feel good vibe there that I’ve only experienced at The Stronghold.
I cordially invite you to share in the good times with me and my nearest and dearest. I’ve got an all star band. Phil Chen the legendary bassman who played with everyone in Jamaica including Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Ernest Ranglin, and was in both Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck’s band is bringin’ in the low end (dat’s the bass). I’ve a full band, full form, full fun.
I’m performing originals, a few covers, a few twists and have several surprise guests. Oh and for you Nati folks some Secret Chili (you know what I’m talking about….SSSKYLINE).
